What to Anticipate During Your Visit:
Initiating your appointment is a straightforward process, allowing you to book through my website, Facebook, text, or phone call. To help you stay organized, I will send you a reminder text a week before and a day before your appointment. Please note that if you need to reschedule, it's essential to do so with at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
Due to the nature of my work, there may be occasions when I run slightly early or late. In such cases, I will promptly notify you via text message. Upon arrival, I offer an assortment of treats to your pet, unless you specify that your pet shouldn't have treats due to allergies or your preferences.
Upon arrival, I will inquire about your preferred location for the services. Subsequently, I typically sit on the floor, allowing your pet to familiarize themselves with me, fostering a sense of comfort for both your pet and you. This initial interaction can take place either inside or outside your home. I will ask you for assistance in distracting or restraining the animal, but rest assured, this doesn't require any advanced experience on your part.
Once everyone is settled, I will inquire about your preferred location for the services. I will guide and instruct you on the steps needed to ensure a safe and stress-free experience. I make every effort to respect your pet's comfort level and work in accordance with their body language, as every dog is unique.
Throughout the service, I provide various snacks and treats to alleviate stress and distraction. Depending on the specific needs of the patient, I may employ alternative techniques, including different positioning, towel wraps, table usage, Licki Mats, and more. I also carry pheromone sprays for both cats and dogs to create a calming environment.
For feline appointments, I kindly request that you calmly guide your cat into a room without hiding spots or into the bathroom prior to my arrival. A large towel is necessary, and I prefer to use yours to impart a comforting scent familiar to your cat (clean unused towel).
The feline pheromone spray I use mimics the facial pheromones that cats produce when they feel safe, secure, and in control of their surroundings. This pheromone is applied to myself and the towel to ensure a soothing atmosphere for your cat.
Once the services are complete, payment is expected. I will then tidy up, and I highly recommend scheduling your next service at the end of this appointment. It's advisable to schedule services up to six months in advance, providing you with convenience and eliminating unnecessary travel and stress.
Now, you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day without the hassle of additional travel .o.stress.
