I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician, fully licensed and insured by the State of Ohio, providing In-Home services to the pets of Lake County, Ohio, and surrounding areas for the past 3 years. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, my passion lies in tending to animals and fostering enduring bonds with both pets and their owners.

My service offerings encompass a range of options, including basic services like in-home nail trims, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, sanitary trims, soft paw applications, and more. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I offer injection administration services for various medications, including Adaquan, Solensia, Librela, Cytopoint, Insulin, SQ fluids, and more.
It's crucial to note that all medication administrations require prior approval from your veterinarian.
One of my core areas of focus revolves around Pet Consultations, which can be conducted either virtually or in person, accommodating your preferences and convenience. Virtual consultations provide the benefits of flexibility and accessibility, enabling us to connect remotely. In-person consultations, on the other hand, allow for a more hands-on approach to address your questions and concerns.

Services Provided In Your Home!
Nail trims for Dogs, Cats and Other Pets
Nail trims can pose challenges, but I aim to eliminate that entirely. I offer two options for trimming: basic clippers and a dremel (file). It's important to note that dremeling may not be suitable for all pets, as it requires patience and tolerance for vibrations and noise. However, we can gradually introduce and acclimate pets to this method. Utilizing a dremel enables a closer and smoother cut, reducing post-trim scratching.
Anal Gland Expression
Does your dog exhibit scooting behavior, have a foul odor, emit a fishy smell, or frequently lick the anal area? These symptoms may indicate an anal gland issue. I typically suggest performing anal gland expressions outdoors due to the associated odor. However, I utilize special wipes and sprays to alleviate your dog's unpleasant odor. I am trained to internally express the anal glands, ensuring their thorough expression. It's worth noting that most groomers express from the outside.
Ear cleaning/Flushing of the ear canal
Pets with allergies are advised to have their ears cleaned regularly. Allergies can increase the susceptibility of pets to ear infections. However, it is important to note that even if your pet doesn't have allergies, regular ear cleaning may still be necessary. The amount of debris produced in the ears varies among pets. The ear cleaner I employ contains a drying agent, as well as antibacterial and antifungal properties. However, this will not treat an ongoing infection.
Sanitary Trims
This service is particularly beneficial for pets that do not require a full trim but still require assistance in maintaining cleanliness. Neglecting to trim the hair around the anus or other private areas can result in issues such as fecal impaction and infections. As part of this service, I carefully remove all hair surrounding the private area, leaving it clean and hygienic.
Paw Trims
Does your pet have "Grinch paws"? Excessive hair on your pet's paws can lead to traction issues on smooth or wooden floors. This can affect mobility, balance, and potentially result in infections. By removing the excess hair between the paw pads, your pet can experience increased comfort and improved mobility.
Soft Paws- Feline only
This solution is ideal for addressing the issue of cats scratching furniture or causing harm. It involves using silicone caps that are placed over your pet's claws and securely glued using pet-safe adhesive. These caps typically need replacement every 4-6 weeks, depending on the rate of nail growth. Initially, the first set may not last as long as your pet adjusts to wearing them, but subsequent sets tend to last the full duration. This method provides a humane alternative to declawing.
Mat Removal with clippers- No Full Shaves
If your pet occasionally experiences mats but doesn't require a complete grooming session, I can assist with this. I employ either clippers or scissors, depending on the severity and tightness of the mats.
Drop-in Visits/ Pet Sitting Consults
Prior to your extended absence, I kindly request that we schedule a meeting to review paperwork, acquaint myself with your pets, and establish a routine. Please note that this consultation requires dedicated time and is subject to a associated fee. I am limited on availability, so book early!
Feline Comfort Care Services Drop-In Pet Sitting
Seeking flexible cat pet sitting? My service offer up to two visits daily, with most choosing one visit. Services include litter box clean-up, feeding, up to 30 minutes of playtime (if your cat enjoys it), and quick, considerate care for shy or nervous cats. Additionally, I'll bring in your mail to maintain your home's security. Contact me for peace of mind and quality care!
Canine Comfort Care Services Drop-In Pet Sitting
Your furry friend will receive personalized care tailored to their needs. Services include feeding, up to 30 min of playtime, cuddle time and walks if requested. Additionally, I offer mail retrieval and home security checks. For locations outside of Madison, I am willing to accommodate, but I am limited to two visits a day and would need you to be flexible with timing. If you require more frequent visits, or particular times, I recommend Crazy Paws.
Exotic Haven Pet Sitting
"Your Home or Mine" provides personalized care for a variety of small animal exotics, ensuring they receive feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and medication administration as needed. Whether at your place or ours, rest assured your pets, including Guinea pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Gerbils, Mice, Rats, Ferrets, Hedgehogs, Chinchillas, Sugar gliders, Birds, and Reptiles (such as snakes, lizards, or turtles), will receive attentive and loving care while you're away.
VetSitter Collaboration Services
Are you currently working with a pet sitter whom you trust and would like to continue using? If your pet is facing medical challenges or you simply prefer having a (RVT) on your support team, I can collaborate with your existing pet sitter. I offer an on-call option for your pet sitter to reach out to me anytime for assistance or advice. Additionally, I can provide a once-daily drop-in visit for an overall wellness check (additional cost), complementing the care provided by your pet sitter.
While your away (add on pet-sitting service)
I've collaborated with Crazy Pawz to provide a “While you're away” service. While Crazy Pawz is taking care of your pet at your home, you have the option to request additional services for your pet from my list. You can arrange this through Crazy Pawz or contact me directly. Please avoid scheduling this service online, as it requires coordination between Crazy Pawz and myself.
Full Time Pet-Sitting Service/ Dog Walks/ Adventure Hikes by Crazy Pawz

She provides a range of options including drop-in visits, overnight stays, dog walking, adventure hiking, farm animal care, daily pet sitting, house sitting, and hourly pet care. Pet Attendance Service

Diagnostic Sample Collection w/drop off
This includes collecting urine, fecal, and blood. Blood tubes need to be collected from your vet prior to the appointment! This service also includes drop off to your vet clinic (within 15 miles of your home).
At Home Blood Glucose Curve
Please note that while blood glucose curves are often recommended, your vet may opt for a fructosamine test instead. Prior to your appointment, I will confirm with your vet to ensure we're conducting the correct test. As a specialized service provider, I will come to your home to collect readings, which I will then deliver to your vet for analysis.
Medication Administration-Prescribed By Vet
As a RVT, I possess the necessary licensing to administer injections to pets. These injections can be given via intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intravenous routes. It's important to note that medications requiring administration must be prescribed by a veterinarian. To ensure accuracy, I will contact your veterinarian's office to confirm the prescribed dose and the appropriate administration route. This service is particularly beneficial for pets receiving Adequan injections, & SQ fluids , ex.
Limited Bathing
I provide bathing services; however, please note that these services have certain limitations. Since I conduct all services in clients' homes, I require a suitable bathing area, such as a bath tub, to perform the bathing. These services are only available for small dogs (short hair), and cats. Rest assured that any mess created during the procedure will be thoroughly cleaned up, and the area will be returned to its previous condition.
Pet Transport
If you're short on time to take your pet to the vet or groomer, or if your pet is an older one that requires assistance getting in the car and you are unable to provide it, I am here to assist you. As a knowledgeable and experienced RVT, I can help address the questions typically asked by veterinarians, saving you the hassle of constant phone calls and answering numerous inquiries. I can provide a detailed explanation of the recommendations and discuss the options within your before proceeding.

NO FULL HAIR CUTS-I AM NOT A GROOMER! I AM A RVT!
I do not offer in-home grooming services for several reasons:
- Mess and ventilation: Grooming can create a significant mess, and residential settings often lack proper ventilation systems to manage the resulting hair and dander effectively.
- Time-consuming: A complete haircut can be a lengthy process that requires multiple breaks and considerations for the pet's stress levels, making it difficult to accommodate within a single appointment.
- Lack of professional training in grooming cuts.

I have a genuine love for learning and consistently seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. My journey as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) began in 2010 when I enrolled in RVT school. After graduating and passing my state test, I have been actively working in the field ever since, cherishing every moment. I have gained experience in various areas, including specialty practices, emergency medicine, basic and orthopedic surgery and general practice.
While I enjoyed my roles in practice, my true passion lies in building client-patient relationships in the comfort of your home. I have specialized in Fear Free techniques, which involve a series of classes aimed at recognizing and minimizing stress in pets. Over the years, I have applied these techniques, some of which you may recognize from our meetings, to create a calm and comfortable environment for your pets.
At home, I have two dogs, a hamster, and a turtle. An interesting fact is that I have had my turtle since I was 12 years old, showcasing my commitment to long-term pet care. I also have two kids who, as you may know, sometimes act like animals themselves, in a playful sense.

Peanut Allergy
I do use peanut butter as one of the treats I offer to pets. Please inform me if anyone in the household has a peanut butter allergy, even if the allergic person is not present during the appointment. It is crucial that we do not use peanut butter in such cases. For instance, if a dog licks peanut butter and then comes into contact with an allergic person's leg or face, it could pose a risk. Please notify me immediately of any allergies.
